Benefice Administrator
Here in the Benefice of Harston, Hauxton and Newton we are looking for a Parish Administrator to support our vicar in the Christian mission, worship and activities of three Church of England parish churches.

The role
We are looking for someone who is well-organised and self-motivated who has good and varied administrative experience. You will need to have good computer skills including Microsoft Office and the ability to use our electronic file management and diary management systems without extensive training. Training will be given if you are asked to take over the website (Wix) and electronic mailing list (Mailchimp, circulation approx. 120 people).

You need to have good communication skills particularly as you will be a first point of contact for church members and others who are less familiar with us, such as those arranging baptisms, weddings and funerals. You will need flexibility to work with a wide range of volunteers and their availability, which will mean some evening meetings. Some familiarity with Church of England processes and structure would be helpful but not essential.

You do not need to be a Christian for this role but need to respect the beliefs and ethos of our churches.
We are offering a rate of £15 an hour, paid monthly on receipt of an invoice for the hours worked that month. Expected number of hours per month is 20-30.
